Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 26, 2026
This policy covers the AutoLaunch web application and the
AutoLaunch Vehicle Assistant Chrome extension (together,
"AutoLaunch"). AutoLaunch is a listing syndication tool for car
dealerships and independent sales representatives: it takes a
dealership's own vehicle inventory and posts those vehicles to
sales channels — including Facebook Marketplace, through the
extension — at the user's direction.
What data AutoLaunch handles
- Account information: your email address and
sign-in credentials, handled by our authentication provider
(Supabase). We use your email to identify your account.
- Dealership and inventory data: your
dealership name, your inventory feed URLs, and the vehicle data
they produce — year, make, model, trim, VIN, stock number,
price, mileage, colors, and listing photos.
- Posting settings and queue jobs: your
posting preferences (such as your daily posting limit, whether
Full Auto posting is on, your posting delay, your dealership
name and address as shown in your listings, and whether the
stock number appears in listing descriptions), your customer
wishlist entries, and the queue of posting/removal jobs you
create, including each job's status and any failure reason.
- Facebook interaction, locally in your browser:
the extension works inside your own signed-in Facebook session in
Chrome, on the AutoLaunch app, Facebook Marketplace (including
its inbox and floating chat windows), and Facebook Messenger
pages. It fills in the Marketplace vehicle form and deletes
listings you ask it to remove, using the data from your queue
job. Your Facebook password is never seen, collected, or stored
by AutoLaunch — Facebook's own sign-in stays between you and
Facebook.
- Your buyer conversations (Prospects and Luca):
the extension reads the visible text of your own Facebook
Marketplace inbox and message threads and syncs those messages
to your own AutoLaunch account, where they appear in Prospects.
Synced content can include the buyer's name, the listing the
conversation is about, thread and listing links, message text,
whether each message was incoming or outgoing, timestamps, and
an inbox preview line. A new Prospect is created automatically
only for a Marketplace vehicle conversation; any other chat (for
example, a regular Messenger conversation) is synced only when
you click the extension's "Capture chat for Luca" button on it.
Inbox preview lines are stored only for threads already tied to
one of your Prospects. Stored message text is kept to at most
2,000 characters per message (500 characters for preview lines),
and capturing an open thread takes at most the 30 most recent
visible messages.
- Your AutoLaunch session token, in the extension:
when you are signed in to AutoLaunch, the app hands your session
token to the extension so the extension can read and update
your own queue, settings, inventory, Prospects, and
synced buyer messages. The token is stored only in the
extension's local storage on your own computer, is used only as
the sign-in credential for your AutoLaunch backend requests, and
is never logged or sent anywhere else.
- A random helper install identifier: the
extension stores one random identifier on your own computer,
created the first time it runs. It identifies the install, not
you. When you start a free trial, a hashed form of that
identifier is sent to our server and used only to prevent
free-trial abuse (one free trial per install). It is not used
for tracking or advertising, and it is never shared.
How the data is used
Data is used only to operate AutoLaunch for you: syncing your
inventory, building and carrying out your posting queue, posting
and removing your listings on the channels you enable, showing you
job status and failure reasons, keeping your buyer conversations
in Prospects in sync, and keeping your account secure. That is
the only purpose.
Replies work the same way: the extension delivers a reply to
one of your conversations only when you have typed it in
AutoLaunch or approved a draft there, and it sends it through your
own open Facebook tab. AutoLaunch's assistant, Luca, can draft a
reply for you, but a draft is never sent on its own — nothing is
sent unless you send it. The reply text you queue and whether
delivery succeeded or failed (and any error) are recorded with
your conversation so you can see them.
What we never do
- We never sell your data, and we do not rent or share it with
third parties for their own marketing or any other purpose of
theirs.
- We run no third-party analytics or advertising trackers in
the app or the extension.
- The extension does not collect your browsing history. It
reads only the AutoLaunch app, Facebook Marketplace and
Messenger pages (including Marketplace inbox and chat windows),
and the vehicle photo locations contained in your own queue
jobs — and on those pages, only your own listings,
conversations, and queue data.
Support chat (Ask Luna)
When you use the in-app Ask Luna support chat,
your questions are answered using your message plus diagnostics
from your own account — your plan and billing state, recent
inventory syncs, and recent posting activity and errors — so Luna
can see what went wrong instead of guessing. Your questions, the
answers, and any support ticket you send (or that Luna files when
something looks broken on our side) are stored with your account
so a person can follow up and so we can fix problems. They are
never sold or shared, and the assistant can only ever see the
account you are signed in with — never anyone else's.
Where data lives and how it is protected
- Account, inventory, settings, queue, Prospects, and synced
message data are stored in AutoLaunch's backend database
(Supabase), where access is locked per user: each account can
only see and modify its own rows.
- Platform keys and service secrets are Matthew's (the
platform operator's), are kept server-side only, and are never
shipped to the app, the extension, or end users. End users never
handle API keys.
- Photos for a listing are fetched by the extension from the
dealership photo source in your queue job — directly, or
through AutoLaunch's own photo proxy when a direct fetch is
blocked — and attached to your listing on Facebook; they are not
copied to any AutoLaunch analytics or advertising system.
Your choices
- You control posting: the extension's Confirm mode is the
default, and nothing is published until you click Publish (or
deliberately turn on Full Auto in Settings).
- You control chat sync: Marketplace conversations sync
automatically so Prospects stays current, and any other chat is
captured only when you click "Capture chat for Luca." You can
delete Prospects and their synced messages in AutoLaunch at any
time.
- You can remove a listing at any time from AutoLaunch, sign
out (which ends the session the extension relies on), uninstall
the extension, and ask us to delete your account data.
